Medical - Medical: Cardiology / Coronary angiography
German term or phrase: Intermediär-Ast
I am currently working on a German coronary angiography report. Here is the text:

LAD: Mittlerer Abschnitt der LAD (32/1) 80%
CX: ***Intermediär-Ast*** (50/0) 50%
CX-Abschnitt vor Abgang aller Äste (51/4) 50%
2. Posterolateralast der CX (58/2) 50%
RCA: RCA 2. Drittel (2/3) 0% Z. n. Intervention am [Datum]
RCA 3. Drittel (3/1) 70%
Rdp (6/0) 70%

As far as I know, the "ramus intermedius" or "intermediate branch" is a third branch in about 15% of the patients, located between the LAD and Cx. I would have thought that the "Intermediär-Ast" and the "R. intermedius" is the same. However, the "Intermediär-Ast" has a stenosis of 50%, the "R. intermedius" a "geringgradige Stenose". Is 50% considered "geringgradig"? Is it the same branch? And if so, why is it listed twice, once under LAD and once under Cx? And what would be the correct translation?

Thank you so much in advance!!!

intermediary branch
Explanation:

In an estimated 70% of patients, a coronary branch (termed ramus medianus, intermedius, or intermediate branch) arises early off the left coronary system to supply an area between diagonal branches from the LAD and obtuse branches from the Cx systems.

Bis 50 % wird eine Stenose als "geringgradig" bezeichnet:

25-50% geringgradige Stenose
