All,

I am translating a presentation (to shareholders?) on the product range of a large media/multimedia publishing house.
On one slide a table lists fees for different types of ads on the iPad.

Below the table is a line that reads:
iPad = Printabschluss ohne BK / JUP

I have found 'cabled distribution' for BK (http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&p=CqhggsWkAA&search=BK-Vert... but I am quite puzzled about JUP

Any suggestions?

JUP (Jahresumsatzprämie)
Eine Art Mengenrabatt für Werbeagenturen in der Schweiz, der auf ein 1952 durch den damaligen Schweizerischen Verband der Zeitungs- und Zeitschriftenverleger (SZV), den Verband Schweizerischer Werbegesellschaften (VSW) und die Schweizer Werbe-Auftraggeber (SWA) (damals: Schweizerischer Inserenten-Verband (SIV)) abgeschlossenes Abkommen zurückgeht. Derzeit gilt die JUP-Vereinbarung vom 1. Januar 1996, abgeschlossen zwischen SWA, VSW und Verband Schweizer Presse (SP).

Dieser Mengenrabatt für Direkt-Auftraggeber besteht darin, ein grösseres Auftragsvolumen mit einem entsprechenden Zusatzrabatt abzugelten. Dabei fliesst ein Teil des Kostenvorteils, den der Auftragnehmer auf Grund einer rationelleren Umsetzung des Auftrags erzielt, an den Auftraggeber zurück.

In späteren Vereinbarungen zwischen diesen Verbänden wurden Änderungen des ursprünglichen Abkommens beschlossen. So wurde die Skala der JUP-berechtigten Umsätze der Teuerungsrate angepasst, und es wurde die Möglichkeit der Kumulierung der Umsätze von juristisch unabhängigen Tochtergesellschaften geschaffen.

Die Jahresumsatzprämie entstand historisch als Reaktion auf die Berater-Kommission (BK). Reklame-Berater-Kommission (RBK) oder auch nur Berater-Kommission (BK) heisst in der Schweiz die Agenturkommission.
