German term or phrase: Allonge
This is taken from simple list of billing items:
"Funkspotproduktion Allonge - Besetzung, Sprachaufnahme, Mischung"

An "Allonge" in this context is "ein angehängter Spotteil". It's used to localise a national/global ad (e.g. the name of the local dealer).

Does anyone have ANY idea what it could be in English? I've done a bit of research, but have so far come up a blank.

Many thanks!

I see from your profile that you have years of advertising experience under your belt, and a search for just "dealer tag" brought some decent back-up for this suggestion, so I took it. Many thanks to both you and to Phil for your valuable input!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Is the word tag not too general? Would be greatful for references, as research is proving difficult! Thanks.

Asker: or even *grateful* (what a typo!)
