Sorry... 10:20 Aug 5, 2009
What the author clearly wanted to say is: using internet's capability to present information through various media (e.g. sounds, videos, texts)...i.e. multimedia. I really think you're making it more complicated than it really is....
Using "resources available on the internet" is misleading because it hints at resources outside of the portal, whereas what is says is exactly the opposite.

It simply says: there are many ways to get information about Germany (information flyers, books and so on) but if you want to get information on Germany through multiple media (e.g. sounds, video, text and so on, i.e. multimedia information), our internet portal is what you've been looking for!

In a few words: "using the full range of multimedia opportunities offered by the Internet" is ok. "using the full range of multimedia resources available on the Internet" is totally misleading.
....the author could have avoided the ambiguous "multimedialen Möglichkeiten" by using "multimedialen Fähigkeiten". |
