Bus/Financial - Marketing / Market Research / Customer Satisfaction Survey
German term or phrase: zugeschnittenen Zusätzen
"Der verwendete Begriff 'Lösung' steht für eine kundenspezifische Lösung, die aus mehreren Produkten und auf den speziellen Anwendungsfall ***zugeschnittenen Zusätzen*** besteht."

From a customer satisfaction survey. Two things are troubling me here: 1) what exactly does "Zusätzen" mean in this context and 2) where does the whole phrase "zugeschnittenen Zusätzen" fit into the grammar of this sentence? TIA for your help.

add-ons customised/tailored to the specific use case
Explanation:
The above would apply to IT. If not, I'd put "(value-)added/additional products/services customised/tailored to the specific/intended application/use". We would have to know a bit more about the industry the survey relates to.

Thanks once again Steffen. "Add-ons" sounds great. There is a reference to hardware and software solutions just previously, so this might well be IT, but I still feel more comfortable with "applications" than "use case". Thanks also to the peer graders and others who offered an idea. Appreciate everyone's help.

agree  Ken Cox: 'add-ons' is a good choice, but I'd say 'application' instead of 'use case'

-> Yes, fair enough, especially when it comes to non-IT applications but also more generally speaking.

agree  BrigitteHilgner: Is it the heat which produces such convoluted German expressions today, or what?
