Ergänzungsziffer check digit/complementary number Explanation: normally serial numbers or any important numbers for that matter have a built in control-mechanism, which is called a check digit. This is normally "Prüfziffer" in German, but I think that's what they might mean. If that doesn't seem to fit, then try the 2nd version or else "end(ing) number", maybe. Good luck! ;-) |
