Marketing - Management / Project management
German term or phrase: Projektbegleitung
This term pops up constantly in a text refering to a bank's project management department and the fact that this department was key in the 'Projektbegleitung', probably meaning it supported all other departments with their projects....

Here's one for instance:

Die Begleitung des Projekts und Koordination mit der Bank gemeinsam mit der Abteilung Finanzen erfolgte von Beginn an und war durch die schwierige Gesamtkonstellation auch unbedingt erforderlich.

Project support sounds strange, at least to me. Hohum, help?!

ongoing project supervision
Explanation:
I really think you need the word "ongoing" here to convey the sense of "begleiten". I'd go for "ongoing project supervision", but "ongoing project management" would do as well.

Steer clear of "project support" is my instinct - sounds suspiciously German to my ears.

Explanation:
...would be about the only other thing I can think of right now aside from "project support" (which doesn't sound all that bad to me).
