As I mentioned in my comment to Ian\'s answer, I think flaky would be better than crumbly here.

\"Before applying foundation of any sort, be sure that skin is moisturized. If not, (and if you rub too hard) the foundation could flake off and look very nasty. Also, with stick foundations, less is more- I find that the best way to apply these is using the fingertip as an applicator\"

crumbly

Explanation:
The word "bröselig" normally translates as "crumbly". However, in this case, I would say "... will not crumble ..."

It gives a natural appearance without any caking.

oops.... I didn\'t finish the sentence there
It would be right to say that the foundation clumps in areas which is referred to (as far as I know) as caking.

Q: How can I prevent my foundation from caking?
A:
Begin by applying a moisturizer under your foundation. Apply foundation sparingly and blend well. After a few hours, refresh your makeup with a light spritz of water from an atomizer

liquid foundation is in a tube, the end covered by with a small \"applicator\" sponge designed to evenly spread the foundation over the \"T-zone\" to reduce the amount of product needed to cover the face. It worked well, providing sheer to medium coverage that was a natural-looking, matte finish without a \"caking.\"
