Please note that in English, when you say \"for tax purposes\" (\"steuerlich\" as well), it means looking at your financial accounts from the point of view of taxation. \"Tax considerations\", however, mean that you take certain steps to change, directly or indirectly, your financial accounts in a way to create a more favourable situation from the point of view of taxation. (It is not necessarily cheating, though!)
