From a dissertation on "Fiscal Representation", dealing with German VAT/import duties, and with Swiss entrepreneurs' information and declaration obligations towards Germany. On the option of appointing a fiscal representative there, it states, inter alia, that:
"Der Fiskalvertreter muss bei seinem Finanzamt eine gesonderte Steuernummer für die Fiskalvertretung einlösen."
(I have found several translations of 'einlösen', but none that match exactly.)
