Abrechnung has to be one of the most AMBIGUOUS words in German. Does it mean final payment, settlement, or an accounting invoice?

Context:

Explanation:
This isn't so easy in my opinion. If you look at the German Commercial Code section 87 c subsection 1, it is talking about all of the documentation that is related to the calculation of the sales representative's commission (cf. http://dejure.org/gesetze/HGB/87c.html).

The same decision:
"Nach § 87 c HGB hat ein Handelsvertreter zur Berechnung seiner Provisionsansprüche gegenüber seinem Auftraggeber einen Anspruch auf einen Buchauszug über alle maßgeblichen Geschäfte. Nach einem Urteil des Bundesgerichtshofs braucht sich ein Versicherungsvertreter nicht mit der Vorlage der laufenden Kontoauszüge abspeisen lassen. Vielmehr steht ihm ein Anspruch auf Vorlage aller Unterlagen über die vermittelten Geschäfte zu. Aus diesen müssen sich insbesondere die Jahresprämie als Bemessungsgrundlage für die Abschluss- und Betreuungsprovision, der Versicherungsbeginn, eine eventuelle Stornierung von Verträgen, Prämienerhöhungen, Eintrittsalter des Versicherungsnehmers und Restlaufzeiten ergeben." The Bundesgerichtshof said this to the meaning of 'Buchauszüge': "In den einem Handelsvertreter [...] zu erteildenden Buchauszug sind alle Angaben über die vermittelten Geschäfte und ihre Ausführung aufzunehmen, die nach der zwischen dem Handelsvertreter und dem Unternehmer getroffenen Provisionsvereinbarung für die Provision von Bedeutung sind." THANK YOU for posing this question. I am representing an insurance agent who wants the same type of information. The employer has already provided some calculations, but not enough that would enable any non-rocket scientist to understand why, after working there for 5 years, my client supposedly owes the employer money and not the other way around. The decision above will come in handy, because I think we will unfortunately have to go to court on this one... :-)
