German term or phrase: Mutationsverfügung (Schweiz)
This is a letter to a doctoral student at the University Zurich regarding the continuation of employment (1 year - Verlängerung der Anstellung).
Is this referring to a basic employment contract of a öffentliche Stelle in Switzerland? Does anyone know if there is a specific term for it in English? Is it just "employment contract"?
I found the same question asked for Spanish and it looks like "Anstellungsverfügung" is another word for this:

Any Swiss folks out there who can help?
Thanks in advance!

Notes to answerer
Asker: David, thank you so much for your quick response. Once all the answers were in, I decided on the shorter "amended terms of contract". Your answer is certainly not incorrect, but unfortunately I can only award one person :-).

change form

Explanation:
This is taken from a document sent by the HR of the University of Zürich

Any vacation, extra hours and/or overtime credit that has not been compensated due to important work-related reasons is paid with the final month’s salary. Any extra hours are compensated on a 1:1 basis. Payments up to and including pay category 16 receive a 25% supplement. Human Resources must be informed in good time about a positive balance of hours using the “Mutationsverfügung” (change form).

However, this is the only instance of this I could find.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Brent, this was an excellent find, but I was hesitant to use it, since the term "change form" sounds too generic for my use and a bit like internal HR language. I feel that in my case this was needed as proof of continued employment to obtain a visa. Hence, I chose "amended terms of contract". Thank you for your excellent research and input!

notice of re-appointment

Explanation:
Anbei erhalten Sie Ihre Mutationsverfügung > enclosed pls. find your notice of re-appointment.

I had been reluctant to usurp the status of real Swiss colleagues and surprised that Mutation didn't follow the cognate French term of a conveyance of land.

Contract review or 'switching' notice also occurted to me, but in other contexts I see no harm in retaining the non-viral 'mutating' idea out of a re / insurance, pensions or death penalty context.

Example sentence(s):
  • Obligations can arise, for example, in connection with claim payments and when contracts are commuted. globalre.com Auszahlungen können z. B. durch Schadenzahlungen und bei Vertragsablösungen anfallen. global re

Notes to answerer
Asker: Adrian, thank you for your response. While it is in fact a notice of re-appointment, I don't think it captures the idea of additional changes made to the existing contract. Since the letter included additional requirements, I felt it was safer to go with the "amended terms of contract" version. Thanks again for your input!
