Marketing - Internet, e-Commerce / IT marketing (SEO, SEA) with a focus on improving the Google ranking of the prospective customer\'s website
German term or phrase: Akquisition
Hi,

This is from a full-on SEO and SEA IT marketing quotation from Switzerland.

I do not understand this word:

DECH context:
Live-Marktforschungs-Analyse / Kundensprache
Welche Keywords bringen Anfragen, Leads, => Umsatz?
=> Kundensprache
Wo befinden sich ggf. Schwachstellen des Internetauftritts?
Wie überzeugen die Zielseiten?
Welche Landingpages braucht es?
Kurzfristiger ROI erzeugen (Kundengewinnung + gleichzeitige Datenerhebung)

Could anybody help me understand this word, please :‑)? What was originally gained here, and if so, how can something have been originally gained in the first place, rather than having been gained COMPARED TO any original/source state/status?

Good native speaker translations would be preferable over very good translations from linguists whose mother tongue is not English. UK English slightly preferable over American English, but not by miles.

originally acquired data
Explanation:
I would use "originally acquired data" --> those are the search terms (keywords) recorded during website searches, which are used by them. "Acquired data" would also do.
