i'm looking for a good translation of the following headline of an article on a survey concerning the austrians' internet-behaviour:

SURFEN MACHT GESELLIG

i've got:
SURFING THE WEB MAKES PEOPLE MORE SOCIABLE
which is a bit clumsy and not catchy at all ... does anyone have a better idea? i just want the meaning, so please be creative!

I would turn it a bit so as not to get stuck with the few possibilities offered by "surfing...."

as to your second question, I think "abandon themselves to nightlife" is clumsy. I would rather see "indulge in nightlife"

I know it´s unfashionable literal, but I don´t see anything wrong with it here - and how about that alliteration! Good party rhythm, too.

I am not keen on "abandon themselves to night-life" - how about "hit the night-life", or "paint the town red"? Even "hit the scene" - it´s maybe a bit cliché, but journalists often are :-)
