tectonically intercalated Explanation: would be my choice. These rocks were metamorphosed in the greenschist facies; then, during cataclastic metamorphism, slabs of Barclay Creek argillite became tectonically intercalated between blocks of migmatite: http://gsabulletin.gsapubs.org/content/75/6/549 Note the usage of "Schuppenzone" by english native speakers: The oceanic basalt-komatiite-quartzite assemblage was tectonically intercalated with passive margin sediments of the Wyoming craton margin during collision with the Santaquin arc, as the arc partially over-rode the craton margin. The resulting schüppenzone represents an obduction melange: https://gsa.confex.com/gsa/2013AM/finalprogram/abstract_2330... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 Tag6 Stunden (2013-10-17 18:19:39 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- gerne & viel Erfolg! |
