German term or phrase: SW-Abfall des Purgstall-Kogels
"Alter (gesichert): Badenium; Lithologie: Mergel; Lithologische Beschreibung: Sand, Ton, Kohle, Mergel, Kies. Vermutlich übergreifend basaler Teil: Sandentwicklung am ***SW-Abfall des Purgstall-Kogels*** bei Gleinstätten.; Typusgebiet: Groß St.Florian."

This one has me mystified. For "Abfall," I was initially thinking it had something to do with waste, perhaps a dump for the towns of Purgstall and Kogel, however although there is a Purgstall in Austria, there is no Kogel, and I'm now thinking that "Abfall" refers to the slope of something, but can't find any references for what the Purgstall-Kogel might be. Any insights? Thanks.

Explanation:
The papers I have seen on the web haven't translated the term.

For instance, in the first reference attached, the Sirus-Kogel,

and in the second Richbergkogel. Kogel is an Ötztal dialect word meaning mountain top or peak - Source:http://www.summitpost.org/hinterer-seelenkogel-cima-delle-an... see example sentence.

Abfall would very probably be slope in this context

The SW slope of the Purgstall-Kobel.
