German term or phrase: Angänge
I'm afraid I can't give a lot of context on this one. It is the heading of a piece about a series of lectures which are going to take place. Does it mean "new approaches to", maybe? Thanks for your help!

agree  Stephen Reader: Henry's suspicion v. plausible; then approaches would fit; would 'new avenues' (with the active notion in Ingeborg's note above)?

beginnings (Anfänge?)

Explanation:
Excuse me for being rather presumptious as a non-native German speaker, but could this not be a spelling error, albeit a very odd one if it is in a title. Google hardly generates any hits for "Angang" or "Angänge".

"New beginnings for" gets lots of hits. But again I don't know. Some Germans will have to corroborate or correct.

neutral  archtrans: Or the typo could be for Anhänge?? New appendices? OR is Angang new slang for "Angehensweise", approaches?
