Sorry, colleagues (Cilian, Rosa) 06:31 Sep 22, 2011
-- but to me as a German native speaker, "Fertigkochmischung" - a term that's not really common (it would really be "Fertigmischung") sounds just like what "instant mix" describes: stuff that comes in bags and just needs to be mixed (possibly with water) and cooked. But as I said in my comment, I would combine the term with something to make it even clearer that it's food and not an instant mix for, say, wall paint. (Heinz, the food company, mostly uses it in combinations.) Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me "convenience food" sounds like it includes more than this kind of mixes, such as TV Dinners or ready-to-eat food in cans. "Recipe mix" seems to be a synonym for "instant mix". |
