local specialities
Explanation:
or specialities of the region, don't think "heathland" specialities would work, heath has rather negative connotations in English.

Asker: Thanks< I think you are exactly right. "Heathland does have negative connotiations in England. I need not be too literal here and specialities sound nice, don't they?

neutral  RegineMac: What are the negative connotations of heathland? Heathland or heath or heathland landscape sound perfectly normal to me. And since it's a marketing brochure, the name should be mentioned, no?

-> well, first of all I think "blasted heath" (Shakespeare I think), then I think "acidic & infertile" (geography lessons) & then "Heathcliffe" associated with windswept etc. at no time does yummy food come to mind

agree  BrigitteHilgner: I haven't got the foggiest idea what Heidespezialitäten or heathland specialities might be - to me "local specialities" sound more appealing.
