s.u. Explanation: the opposite of a self-service restaurant is waitress service or full service restaurant... how about "service/served version" or "waitress/personnel service version"? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs 15 mins (2005-08-07 08:07:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- on reflection, we are talking here in both cases about a display unit used in a self-service restaurant. Bedienungsversion where the personnel hane over the item, SB-Version where the customers takes the item themselves. Thus waitress service is not appropriate anyway, however personnel service version would still seem to be usable. |

wait-staff(ed) version Explanation: To avoid the gender-specific waitRESS ... This is a full-service, wait staffed restaurant and adjacent bar. www.lrn-airport.com/services/restaurants.asp The brand new Community Commons on our Beverly campus will offer a wait-staffed dining room, game and meeting rooms, ... www.retirenet.com/listings/452/ If you do decide for a sit-down meal, either cafeteria style service or wait staffed, I recommend the Enchanted Oak Tavern forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread. php?goto=lastpost&t=6897 |

type of operation / operation mode[?] Explanation: I think 'type' makes more sense than 'version' in this case -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2005-08-07 13:07:24 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Well, if it\'s operated by service personnel, than it would be a \'waitstaff model\', indeed |
