Angetaut means that it is still very cold, but possibly malleable, and the foodstuff can, in many cases be, refrozen with no great danger. Aufgetaut means it it has completely thawed - it should not be refrozen unless it has first been cooked.

Explanation:
angetaut hört sich nicht gut an, wird im Sprachgebrauch kaum benutzt. Aufgetaut bedeutet es war gefroren und wurde aus dem Kühlschrank genommen um am nächsten Tag gebraten werden zu können.

Angetaut ist sprachlich eigentlich falsch
