agree John Jory : Strictly speaking, 'trapezoidal' refers to the shape of the thread (DIN 103). See www.emc-technics.com/elem/elem_ts.htm#Trapezoidal Nuts BTW: I can't open your link ;-)

Acme thread nut

This is a thread with a more or less "square" form originally developed by Acme, but now used as a generic term for any trapezoid type thread. Although trapezoid is, stricktly speaking, correct in EN, it is hardly ever referred to as such in tech. jargon.
