front-end Explanation: I think for frontseitig the switch is basically located on the top bit where the outlets are, while stirnseitig means it is hidden on the smaller part straight opposite to where the cable enters such as in the first picture here: http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/76575.pdf Maybe you can distinguish them as "front-end" and "top". |

front face and front side Explanation: Dear Jeannie, This is indeed quite tricky since these terms are basically interchangable. (See https://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/Stirnseite.) I would recommend going for something like "front face" and "front side" if you absolutely have to distinguish between these terms. Otherwise, I would recommend translating both simply with "front". Hope this helps. |
