(single purpose) non-profit organization Explanation: A bit of a long shot, as at German law these seem to be companies that exist to essentially support the single purpose interests of e.g. associations, rather than actively conduct business as such. No exact U.K. equivalent in U.K. AFAIK. Closest would probably be a company limited by guarantee, which would be typical for something like e.g. a residents' association with common assets.
