grey export Explanation: the grey market, grey exports and grey imports are all common expressions. They are all either questionable or even illegal. For example a camera sold in the USA and imported to Europe at a possibly lower US price would be a grey export from America, a grey import to Europe and a grey market product. Such a product may be purchased at a lower price from a bona fide US dealer, but the buyer will have no valid European warranty or manufacturer service. The same expressions may also be used for products purchased from dubious dealers or through obscure channels - particularly online traders. |
