German term or phrase: Anfahrplombe
Not a lot of context available, I'm afraid - just a picture with the following caption: "Bodenvereisung mit flüssigem Stickstoff: Anfahrplombe (Verteilerrechen) - Aufgefrieren einer Anfahrplombe". The text is about various applications of cryogenically liquefied gases.

launching seal
Explanation:
From the context and a bit of googling, my understanding is that this involves freezing some sort of tunnel boring entrance support/seal structure to the soil (and freezing the soil to make it strong enough to allow the structure to be anchored to it). If you google 'ground freezing', you'll get several relevant hits, such as:
http://www.groundfreezing.com/technical_papers.html

If an Anfahrplombe is the same thing as an Anfahrdichtung, a potential translation is 'launching seal', depending on what your Anfahrplombe looks like. A launching seal would apparently be used for a pipe jacking application, not for a large bored tunnel.

The following bilingual site (DU/EN) translates 'Anfahrdichtung' as 'launching seal':
http://www.herrenknecht.de/en/dyn_frameset.php3

However, this is the only google hit for 'launching seal'.

Another hit for 'Anfahrdichtung' shows something that is conceptually similar but rather different in implementation (for one thing, it's much larger), and I doubt it would be called a 'launching seal'. Unfortunately, none of mu guesses turned up any useful hits in English. See:

Explanation:
The first link provides a useful picture of a Verteilerrechen. It's a manifold. Plombe is seal and the prefix "anfahr-" means start-up. Maybe initial seal?

Vakuum – Verteilerrechen / Vakuum - Connector
mit PTFE – Hochvakuumventilen,
Durchlass 0 – 6 mm, mit 9 mm Oliven
with PTFE – vakuum – spindel – stopcock 0 – 6 mm

Vacuum lines usually connect to the experimental apparatus with joints, which provide a better seal and vacuum than the simple rubber pressure tubing connections used on Schlenk lines.
A dual manifold design provides one manifold for vacuum and another for nitrogen or a reactant gas. A connection between the two manifolds permits the nitrogen manifold to be easily evacuated.
Shown below is a diagram of a dual manifold high vacuum line. Note that the lower manifold is for vacuum and the upper one is for nitrogen.
