German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Computers: Software
German term or phrase: (Wieder)Aufruf
The terms Wiederaufruf and aufruf appear in the manual of a lab-device that can be programmed. Here is what I have understood:
Wiederaufruf = fact of selecting and running an existing program (there's a RCL (Recall i presume) button)
Aufruf = Attempt to select/run a programm, which may not even exist.
Could you please make your suggestion for translations of both terms. Thx

Thank you very much! Sometimes it's as simple as this! I was not sure that the verb "to call" could apply to a program, but if you say it :)

disagree  Michele Gile: we dont call a program, we open a program, we run a program but who calls a program?? as to recall, a recall is totally different
