I'm not sure how to translate "Vertraulichkeit" in this context. I'm wondering if it may be an integral part of the authentication process and can therefore be omitted??

agree  Peter Linton (X): Authentication definitely. For Vertraulichkeit, the Microsoft German glossary gives privacy, confidentiality or sensitivity as their official translations. Privacy, confidentiality mostly in Windows XP, sensitivity in MS Outloook.

neutral  Steffen Walter: It's "authenti*cation"... // ADD: The correct word formation is not subject to context - "authenti*fi*cation" is just a "contamination" of the correct English "authenti*cation". Also, the verb is "to authenticate" and NOT "to authentify".
