Generally speaking, information has its own life cycle︰Within three months after such general information comes into existence, the information is subject to the highest frequency of inquiry and needs fast inquiry back-up. At this time, one can choose a medium that can provide fast reviewing and searching, such as CDs and hard-drive. After three months, its inquiry frequency turns out to be moderate, one can choose a medium that has larger storage capacity but has moderate reviewing speed, such as CDs or microfilms;

request frequency

Explanation:
The term refers to the number of "hits" or "visits" that a client, or website, receives. I am putting this out in hopes that someone else will offer up a good suggestion regarding internet traffic. The sentence basically means "a high number of clients have an accordingly high frequency of requests, which can not be accommodated by a single server."

agree  Tom Tyson: but why not leave it at 'high frequencuy of requests', which sound much more natural to me, at least?
