In an ideal world, I would share out the points, since everyone made a valuable contribution. Particular thanks to Thomas Pfann, who I think was the first to suggest that something appears to be missing. FWIW, my contact agrees, but no word from the end customer about precisely what that something is.

Gemeinschaftsprojekt = joint venture /consortium (or similar) = (possibly) Arbeitsgemeinschaft (AG).
Which may then yield -> companies /parties /partners within /to /in the venture/project/consortium etc.

Still up in the air, of course, but also a potential explanation...

... "allen Betrieben der AG" (i.e. Aktiengesellschaft) is not that unusual, in my view, even more so if the full name appears in the broader context. It's a company newsletter, after all (what audience does it address, internal or external?). I also think that "AG" could as well be replaced with "Konzern" without actually losing too much of the underlying meaning, i.e. "group operations".

I think I'll have to raise a query with the customer to be certain, but I think you're probably right about there being something missing, Thomas - thanks for making the suggestion. (FYI I don't think the platform is an AG of any kind - it simply describes itself as a Gemeinschaftsprojekt.) Thanks everyone for chipping in.

Yes, my guess is still 'in allen Betrieben der [company name] AG' ('allen Betrieben der AG' is possible but unusual).

If the YYYY platform is an Arbeitsgemeinschaft (or something else which could be abbreviated AG), then it could also refer to that. (In that case Betriebe would not be the company's own subsidiaries/locations but the other companies participating in the AG.) But that seems a lot less likely then my first suggestion.

If no-one's seen this construction before (and I'm getting nothing useful on Google), perhaps a "der" is missing. The company whose newsletter this is is named in the next sentence and is an AG, so that does seem feasible. Here's that next sentence: Aus diesem Grund ist XXXX eines der sieben Gründerunternehmen der Plattform YYYY.

My first thought would be that there is something missing. There is no such thing as a 'Betrieb(en) AG'. What is the context? Does this refer to one particular company? Could a part of the sentence ("...ist allen Betrieben der Meier AG ein großes Anliegen") be missing?
