Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general) / corrective action process update
German term or phrase: an Sie angepasst
part of a corrective action procedure update (this comes from the car manufacturer, and is for a parts provider/vendor): it's about charging more for the new problem-solving procedure (Reklamationsbearbeitung), as I understand it.

Text:

My suggestions: have to be passed on to you based on.../ adjusted in terms of your liability, based on.../the charge to you has to be adjusted based on..

Explanation:
I'd think I'd be a little freer in the translation, e.g.:
the costs passed on to you must take account of / reflect / be in line with our expenditure on .....

Notes to answerer
Asker: thank you Armorel! I was just thinking along these lines - see my notes to Jonathan.

Asker: I went with "the costs passed on to you must be adjusted according to our expenses for personnel and equipment." Thank you for your suggestion!

agree  MMUlr: I first wondered about *an Sie angepasst*, but it is rather *Kostenbelastung an Sie* (correct is: anpassen (+ dat.), not 'anpassen an', however, today many Germans use this false double 'an').

neutral  Kcda: I fully agree with the pointer explanation and did actually understand it that way myself. However I meant to point out +5 points for pointers is strange. Seems no one believes there is another option to find a suitable term!?

-> I'm sorry, I simply don't understand what point you are trying to make - can you clarify please? Incidentally, my suggestion is too long to fit into the "suggested translation" box, hence the use of "reword" as a pointer.

"adjusted" is the new mantra so not to have to say "increase"

Notes to answerer
Asker: thanks, Jonathan! how about: the charge to you has to be adapted according to/based on... or would you leave out "the charge to you" ?

Asker: never mind, I guess charges/costs has to be in there somewhere - how about ..costs to you have to be adapted/customized according to... without: our expenses have to be customi

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
neutral  Steffen Walter: Not really - "angepasst" is just a euphemism for "increased" here, at least in some cases, as the source text mentions. / True, but then I'd use "adjusted", as per your addition ("costs need to be adjusted to reflect..." - see Armorel's suggestion).

-> but "increased" would never be used, even if that is what it is

agree  Kcda: I think your addition of adapted is very good. I added some notes befor remarking on your term suggestion. Tailor made or suited to your needs can be generally correct. In the context quiet hard to incorporate. But "customized" is worth +1
