German term or phrase: [Kennzahl]ausprägung
Hope you have got the foggiest about this.... Basically it is in the technical specifications about a software package for a bank for credit ratings and scores . They provide a screenshot in German and then there is a table breaking down the possible responses and weightings etc. The table is made up of a number of columns headed as follows:

Faktor Art Auspraegung Auswirkung Gewichtung Kommentar

The "Faktor" column lists the issue, for want of a better word... for example:

Wenn ja, Dauer der Kundenbeziehung?

The "Art" column lists what sort of response applies, for example either "Text" or "Zahl"

and the "Auspraegung" column indicates what the actual entries are:

e.g. if the Art entry is Zahl then the "Auspraegung" column specifies "Ziffer"

e.g. 2 if the :Faktor: column states "Wenn ja, Dauer der Kundenbeziehung?" and the Art column states "Text" then the Auspraegung column has a list of years: 1 Jahr / 2 Jahre etc.

It also crops up in the word Kennzahlauspraegung as the caption for one of the axes of a graph entitled Scoretransformation /-standardisierung. The caption for the other axis is ScoreStandard and both are formed of numbers.

Sorry for such a complicated description of this whole problem. I keep coming across "characteristics" for Auspraegung, but I am not too sure it fits. Many thanks for any help,

thank you - in the end this was the answer that best fitted the context, but thank you to all the answerers for wading through my treacle-like definition. All were helpful but went for value in the end - at least for Kennzahlauspraegung

[Kennzahl]auspraegung
extent

Explanation:
Ausprägung describes the extent/strength/scope/degree of something. In the one example you give "length" would fit, but I suspect this may not apply to other entries - but would "extent" do the job?
