mess spread out Explanation: My guess (and nothing but a guess!) goes in a slightly different direction. Could it be that there's a bit of a mess spread all over the stage (records in disarray, someone jumping around riding a guitar, a pile of people)? I mean it's an odd way of expressing it, but you know what journalists are like: always searching for new ways of putting the same old things into words. Could be that I'm totally wrong about this, though. |
