Alpung bzw. Alpwirtschaft wird oft mit "alpine cattle keeping" übersetzt, was hier aber nicht geht, da die Prämie sowohl für Rinder als auch für Pferde gewährt werden kann.

"grazing" trifft es nicht ganz, weil die Tiere laut Vorschrift (siehe Link) regelmässig betreut werden müssen d.h. nicht nur auf die Alp gebracht und dann sich selbst überlassen werden dürfen. (Wie das früher zumindest in einigen Gegenden der Schweiz mit Schafen üblich war, bis der Wolf zurückkam...)
