Es geht hier um die Erweiterung einer Weinkellerei in Form einer Genusszone.
Da mir nur Schlagwörter zur Firmengeschichte vorliegen, kann ich ansonsten keinen weiteren hilfreichen Kontext liefern.

tasting area
This could be an area where wine is tasted but I think you really need more context - can you ask the client?

: Most likely (despite my own suggestion). Could use 'tasting zone' to stay close to the original.//Just want to add that I don't think 'tasting' is too bland for 'Genuss', which is also used simply to connote consumption and not pleasure.

: I just think "tasting" is a bit bland to translate "Genuss".

: If it's meant to be generic--otherwise I like "tasting zone" better.

Comment: "Trotz mangelnden Kontexts (ich hatte selbst nur Stichpunkte vom Kunden) super Vorschläge. "Tasting" lässt sich hier am besten einbauen. Danke!!"

pleasure area
I agree with Louise, but it seems you can also use pleasure area for a bit more flair...
ghits 400+ for "pleasure area" + winery

: One of the hits - http://technorati.com/videos/youtube.com/watch?v=FkmRKPYLao4 - is fabulous, very Borat, but it you put "winery" in quotes as well, you only get 6 hits, 2 of which made even me blush.

:o) That's why I didn't go with with pleasure spot or zone... There are actually rather many ghits on pleasure area in general that are not sleezy;o)

: For this new reasoning I support this one though I still think that a slightly risque tone may be intended by the source.//Genießerzone wäre besser.

No objection to that, although my thought was that genusszone in itself was rather risque...

Pleasure Zone
See link below, which I got (along with thousands of others) through googling "pleasure zone" together with "wine". However, I have some reservations, as, if you Google just "pleasure zone" you get some rather seedy results, so it may have the wrong connotations! But see what you think - you may feel it's perfectly OK.

See also http://www.stadtfest-wien.at/13364/, where I would definitely translate it Pleasure Zone (with initial caps).

: Your "au" hit uses it as a collective term for four luxury spa resorts in the Australian bush. The "at" hit doesn't seem to work ...

You're right - it doesn't work now - don't know what I did to it!

connoisseur zone/area
Since it's to do with wine, I think using an expression with "connoisseur" sounds better
connoisseur/connoisseur's/connoissers' zone/area
Pleasure zone sounds soooooo seedy!

wine lover's zone
...I would avoid 'pleasure' here at all costs. It just sounds too much like a brothel to me.

: a tasting area can still be a wine lover's zone (or vice versa, for that matter), no? ;-)

Tasting Room
If you are expanding an existing establishment, room would may work better in this context. Can you specify what the "Erweiterung" is exactly.
