er (before a signature)

French term or phrase: er (before a signature)
I am translating a letter from a Swiss bank. It is signed by two people. One of the signatures is preceded by p.p. and I know what that means. But the other is preceded by "er" and I have no idea what that means. Can anyone tell me what is stands for in French?
