Explanation:
Paleta (pala): Concepto que hace mención a la herramienta utilizada para ir apretando el tejido en su proceso de elaboración. Se usa en lugar del peine para los tejidos con mayor densidad de urdimbre. Su materialidad puede ser madera (corazón de espino, de bollén, de naranjo entre otras maderas) o fierro, según la localidad. Es importante destacar que sus dimensiones varían según el ancho de la pieza textil a elaborar. Las más angosta, que son utilizadas para la confección de fajas o huinchas, poseen una mango para facilitar su manipulación.
