Questo perché la prima è per sua natura un indumento informale, pensato per occasioni legate per lo più al tempo libero, come peraltro suggerirebbe la ricostruzione del significato del termine fatta da alcuni. La lettera ’T’ anteposta alla parola inglese ‘shirt’ alluderebbe a ‘training’, ovvero allenamento e/o a ‘teen’, ovvero adolescenti.
