This is in the terms of use of a website, which asks people to upload photos. The peoppe who upload photos have to agree to grant the website owners certain rights to the photos.

En conséquence de quoi, et conformément aux dispositions relatives au droit de la propriété intellectuelle et du droit à l’image, vous autorisez XXX :
• à adapter ou faire adapter les photographies en terme de taille, définition, cadrage, atténuation, transparence ;

I have no idea what "transparence" means here. Any ideas?
