inclination Explanation: Since the text is fairly technical, "inclination" is acceptable and common in mathematical terminology. A "non-normal inclination" just means that the line is not perpendicular to the surface |

inclinaison angle Explanation: The determination of perspective in plane (2D) images can involve consideration not only of 'up-down' perspective (such as when shooting a tall building from close-up) but also 'left-right' perspective (eg shooting along a row of terraced houses). So, where the French uses 'inclinaison' indifferently to refer to 'slopes' in any orientation, the English 'inclination' is most-commonly used to refer to 'up-down' angles only. To make the translation as general as the French is, I suggest using 'angle'. |
