French term

table de manipulation

French to English Tech/Engineering Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) vision metrology
This is in the context of distortion correction for a fish-eye lens.
La qualité du redressement peut être constatée par la linéarité de l'alignement des points de la table de manipulation.

Google: distortion correction "fish eye lens" this should give you enough articles to provide a choice of vocab. One caught my eye:<p>

lookup table Assuming this is a table of values and not a physical object with 4 legs(!), it is possible that it has been generated from some complicated mathematical model which has mapped the target points onto the distorted image cast by the fisheye lens. Intermediate points in a lookup table of finite size can be found by interpolation, so in principle any image can be recreated. By the same token, an ordinary image can be deliberately distorted topologically to look like a fisheye image. On the other hand, I could be barking up completely the wrong tree.

I suspect this is something like a "table of settings."

treatment table (working table)

Hello,

A guess...

Would that make sense here?

I hope this helps.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Travelin Ann : I don't think this fits with a fisheye lens

Hi. I thought this had to do with a table on which you work with the fisheye lens. I really don't know. Just guessing...

light table

I am wondering if you don't make the correction of the negative by laying it over a table having a light underneath it and using the edges of the table for alignment - i have seen such tables in my local photo shop (long time ago though)
and I did use something similar to interpret spectra.

oops - i just realized i must be wrong - it seems more like a table of values for adjusting the negative
