neutral  Martin Cassell: if (big if) we're suggesting new rather than established translations (see the question, folks), then any reference to Serres' writings surely must preserve the core term 'faith'? the opposition between faith and objective knowledge is central

  -> yes, I forgot we're looking for the official translation, and was just trying to turn it into "English". If I were going to use "faith", then I'd also consider probably adding either "blind" or "leap of"
