Sorry - can't give an example of the text but these are used to fix facade and gable columns to the floor in a "flat pack" rapid assembly building. I suppose the word shoe might come into it somewhere but can't find any exact references :)

Mounting bracket

Explanation:
When in doubt, go general :) Bracket is wide enough to cover a whole range of different hardware.

neutral  Bourth (X): The Pfeiffer shoes at least are for fixing walls and columns to their foundations (footings), though of course that might be what Asker means by "floor".

joist hanger

Explanation:
So called because rather than connecting facade and gable columns to the floor, they connect floors to the columns and walls!

joist hanger Various connectors for timber framing made of galvanised steel pressed to shape, with punched nail holes. One common type is a box that carries the end of a floor joist so that the joist is not built into a brick wall, where it could rot or reduce fire resistance. Another type is a steel strap from a hanger to a ceiling joist.

"Sabot de fixation" seems to be a Halfen name for a somewhat specific product, i.e. one designed to be used with Halfen rails cast into concrete.
www.halfen.fr/t/34_6221.html

The more usual term is just "sabot" or "sabot de charpente".

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks Bourth - sorry about the lack of clarity on my part. Problem is that its an invention and I still have no idea what the ingenious bit of it is! But it seems to be linked to the fact that the building needs no foundations and the only references to these shoes involve them being firmly fixed into the ground. I am still none the wiser as to whether this is a concrete slab or not.

agree  Bourth (X): That's what I first understood it to be, but I'm starting to wonder if it's not something else, i.e. your "shoes". If they fit, wear them.
