trading/trade weight Explanation: Just a guess. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 45 mins (2008-09-22 22:27:43 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Or "recalculated weight", I guess. Moisture content Recovered paper and board will, in principle, be supplied with moisture of not more than the naturally occurring level. Where the moisture content is higher than 10% (of air dried weight), the ADDITIONAL WEIGHT IN EXCESS OF 10% MAY BE CLAIMED BACK - with the method of testing and sampling to be agreed between buyer and seller (as mentioned in the EN 643 Standard). [ ... ] RECALCULATION OF WEIGHT has to be mentioned immediately according to the moisture content, percentage of contaminants, and/or percentage of non-conformity. Downgrading has to be mentioned. It remains the decision of the supplier to immediately take the full loading of the recovered paper volume concerned back. http://212.3.246.141/Objects/1/Files/Quality Control Guideli... |

basis weight Explanation: I'm not sure if the term "basis weight" necessarily corresponds to "poids commercial" - but the term "basis weight" is the standard term for describing the finished weight of a particular type of paper: "Our papers promote the use of nonwood fibers and support the market for recycled paper. ... BASIS WEIGHT, BRIGHTNESS, OPACITY, CALIPER..." http://www.livingtreepaper.com/products.html "The tensile strength of recycled paper sheet, having basis weight of 83 g per square meter..." http://www.freepatentsonline.com/6187135.html "Basis Weight - Traditional paper basis weights common to each grade of paper are based on measurements determined hundreds of years ago by Arab papermakers. They represent the finished weight of a ream of paper in a size specific to the grade of paper..." http://www.conservatree.com/learn/Papermaking/Glossary.shtml -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2008-09-23 00:12:07 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The should really use "grammage" if they meant "basis weight" http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&safe=off&q="basis... so my suggestion "basis weight" for "poids commercial" is just a guess. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2008-09-23 00:12:47 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- TYPO: "The should really..." SHOULD BE: "TheY should really..." |
