EIP (equipment) Explanation: One of my major customers retains the FR acronym, but elsewhere in text, does indeed also refer to 'protection of interests'. |

EIP equipment Explanation: The French nuclear safety authority, the ASN, has used the term 'Element Important for Protection (EIP)' in its English texts. So EIP equipment seems an acceptable solution. You could put an explanation of the acronym in brackets on the first occurrence to make is meaning clear. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2020-04-30 14:06:08 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- PS it may depend on what browser you are using, but in Chrome, you can click on the picture of the book that appears against the green background to read it. Or you could check the ASN's English website: http://www.french-nuclear-safety.fr/ It has an Annual Reports section. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2020-04-30 14:16:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Regarding the second link, sorry, it's a link to a PDF which may be why it doesn't work when you click on it here. In Chrome, I clicked on it and downloaded the PDF. Or you can go to this page, it's guide 21 in this list: http://www.french-nuclear-safety.fr/Information/Publications...
