French term or phrase: le test est juste maximal sur le plan chronotrope
Hi everyone,

I am stumped with this phrase.
The patient just underwent a stress test on an ergonomic bike
"le test est juste maximal sur le plan chronotrope, marqué par une excitabilité ventriculaire"

"the chronotropic response was only maximum during the stress test"?

Thanks for your help.

neutral  SafeTex: Do you mean "just below" maximal or "hardly" maximal? I don't think the "barely maximal" is good English, at least not in my grammar.

-> just equal to might be a better choice but it does not express the restrictive meaning of the French "juste".
