Hi,

I'm translating a video testimonial for a human-rights organisation from French into British English and am having trouble with a phrase due to the tricky phrasing in the sentence. Please see the whole section of the section containing this phrase below. The organisation works to ensure that people's rights are upheld. In this section of the video, the director of the organisation's office in a country is speaking.

'Dans l’exercice de la profession d’avocat, il y a déjà énormément de choses quand on accepte de porter des dossiers qui sont particulièrement emblématiques pour faire avancer une cause. Je pense à quand on décide de s’attaquer à une entreprise multinationale, par exemple, qui viole les droits d’une communauté. Il faut du courage pour faire cela, parce qu’on sait qu’on expose aussi l’avocat au risque de rétorsions. Quand on s’attaque à un dictateur, d’un point de vue judiciaire, là aussi on est dans l’exercice noble de la profession d’avocat.'
