Expired or lapsed 15:52 Jul 25, 2020
I agree, Nikki, when too much time has lapsed and this affects the validity of a document, it has “expired” (licence, trademark, etc.) or lapsed. “Expired“ or “lapsed” is the term for a document issued with an “expiry date” that has been passed, causing it to become null and void/invalid. It becomes a lapsed licence. “Expired” is the better choice, IMO, as it will cover ID documents, licences, trademarks and more.
For the formulation in this sentence, to allow for the verbs in the passive voice as well;
“... in the case that the official documents submitted to the PARTNER have: expired/lapsed, been cancelled/overturned, or been revoked.” |
