French term or phrase: éditorialisation
From a presentation about a documentary web series on the Syrian conflict:

"XXX rejoint YYY pour repenser l’architecture d’information, ***l’éditorialisation*** et la diffusion de ZZZ (name of the web series). Nous souhaitons passer d’une logique content-centric à une logique user-centric. Il convient également d’appuyer l’effort d’éditorialisation dans l’écriture documentaire, pour permettre aux internautes curieux mais ayant peu de clés de compréhension du soulèvement syrien de recevoir dans les meilleures conditions les documentaires de résistance."

From what I've gathered, "éditorialisation" is a subset of content curation:

In my research, I've seen it incorrectly translated by non-native English speakers as "editorialization" or "editorializing," but I think it's a false friend. Any idea what the correct term would be in English?

I don't think it's a subset of content curation; I think it's effectively the same thing.

Wikipedia defines éditorialisation as "l'ensemble des pratiques d’organisation et de structuration de contenus sur le web."

It also says:
"La curation de contenu [est] une pratique qui consiste à sélectionner, éditer et partager les contenus les plus pertinents du Web pour une requête ou un sujet donné."
