here is part of the sentence:
"l’Association n’a pas pu survivre à la crise et surtout aux enjeux politiques et autres jeux d’intérêt........"

Would 'conflicts of interest' work?

English translation:strategic pursuit of interests
Explanation:
I think "conflict of interests" is quite good, only I can't help feeling there's very slightly more to it than that. "Conflict of interests" does not necessarily imply that it is deliberate: a conflict of interests might arise accidentally, when none of the parties has actually intended it, whereas to me "jeux" implies that people are battling it out with every intention of winning, each advancing their own individual interests at the expense of everyone else.

So "the strategic pursuit of (individual) interests" might be one way of putting this, retaining the idea of "game" with "strategic". There may be more succinct ways, but perhaps something along those lines.

Thanks - think you are right about the conflict being more intentional.

conflicting ambitions

Explanation:
I agree with Peter, so I've clicked for him, but here is another suggestion! depending on how serious it is, you could say power games......

suggestions:
'.....and most of all the politics and other conflicting ambitions'

'.....and most of all the political maneuvering and other conflicting ambitions'

or the clash of individual interests....

competing interests

Explanation:
A suggestion, with a bit of deliberate ambiguity: "competing" could mean that the interests are competing with each other (i.e. a play / interplay of interests), or that they were competing with the Association (which is why it didn't survive).

Maybe "pressure from competing interests / interest groups" - something on those lines.
